That panel could provide :
Color type (with Munsel color chart equivalent),
Matrix description, (structure, texture),
Elements description (types : charcoal, gravels, etc.) and quantification (with graphical references : 1%, 10%, etc.),
pedogenetic description and quantification : porosity, oxidation, carbonates, etc.

That panel should use at least a part of graphical display for color, quantification etc. and genuine buttons for field work (tablets).
A resume description text should be produce on-the_fly, based on theses infos.
